To celebrate the transition to the new millennium, Buccellati has created a new collection: “I Piatti del Rinascimento,” a tribute to a period of extraordinary Italian talents.
The “Piatto Leonardesco,” the first piece in the collection, is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci’s astronomical studies, with the "Sun" prominently featured at the center of the plate. The rim displays the twelve zodiac signs, while the inner crown features a famous line from Dante's Divina Commedia (Purgatorio, Canto IV, Verse 9): “Vassene il tempo e l’uom non se ne avvede.”
