The Pre-Daytona 6238 was made from 1961/1962 to 1968.
The 6238 was being produced at the same time as the legendary Daytona 6239.
Even in the catalogues of Rolex, they feature both watches together the 6238 and 6239. The case size, the baton hands, the plexi, the pushers and the winding crown – all are exactly the same for a 6238 and the first Daytona – the 6239.
